AST Appoints Youth Ministry Consultant

Halifax, NS - President Eric Beresford of Atlantic School of Theology is pleased to announce that the Reverend Sally Shaw has been appointed the School's Youth Ministry Consultant to assist AST and its church network consider the needs for training in youth ministry in Atlantic Canada. Supported by a grant from the United Church of Canada, this year-long consultation will help to identify the most pressing needs to support youth ministers and consider ways in which AST's resources can respond most effectively to better serve the churches of Atlantic Canada.

Ms. Shaw brings a rich background in theological education and youth ministry to this post. She has been an instructor in youth ministry for Emmanuel College in Toronto and has both local and national experience working with youth. An ordained minister within the United Church, Sally has completed the Certificate in Youth and Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary's Institute for Youth Ministry. She will begin immediately to set up consultations with a cross section of church leaders and those involved in youth ministry throughout the region and beyond. AST is delighted to welcome Sally Shaw to this new position.
