4-6 additional days of work are required for preparation and wrapping up the program; dates TBA.

Rate of pay

$4,000.00 total, per person, inclusive of all benefits


The successful applicant will:

  • hold a valid driver’s license and be an experienced driver
  • be able to lift and carry up to 25 kg
  • have first aid training

Position description:

Camino Nova Scotia is a pilgrimage opportunity for adults sponsored by Atlantic School of Theology, taking place over four one-week periods in Nova Scotia. See our Camino Nova Scotia page for more information.

The Assistant Coordinators will work closely with the Pilgrimage Coordinator to prepare, lead, and evaluate the pilgrimages. The work involves:

  • planning
  • purchasing and food preparation
  • responding to participants’ reasonable requests
  • driving a rental van
  • lifting and moving gear and equipment
  • assisting with worship leadership
  • providing a degree of personal support/pastoral care to participants
  • liaising with host sites, the public, and program volunteers
  • other duties as assigned

 The ideal candidate brings:

  • a good sense of humour and considerable personal flexibility
  • strong planning and execution skills
  • quick thinking and good judgement in emergencies or stressful circumstances
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience in group leadership
