August 31 update:
In person library services began on August 31st. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Physical distancing, face masks and regular cleaning practices have been implemented to make the space as welcoming and safe as possible. We ask that patrons read the signs and follow the new regulations. Staff are more than willing to answer questions about how the space and services have changed.
Curbside pickup will continue even through the doors are open as we realize some people may prefer to not enter. Please read instructions on curbside pickup here.
July 23 update:
- The library will be open for the Fall Term, with restrictions to ensure that physical distancing measures can be observed
- Specific guidelines on access, capacity, barriers, signage, cleaning, and curbside pickups, etc., will be in place and will be re-evaluated on an ongoing basis, with adjustments as necessary
June 4 update:
AST library staff are working remotely this summer. Although we do not have a physical front desk please use firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-902-423-7986 as you would use the front desk. Our virtual front desk hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. All questions are welcome! If you are a new student and do not have a library account please contact email@example.com for setup.
Please visit the library website to search the catalogue and access our databases. If you are new to our databases or need a refresher please see our new Online Resources Infographic. Keep in mind that courses are only two weeks long and due to current mail volumes within Canada Post, online resources are the best option for researching.
Access to print books
Curbside pickup is available if you live within two hours of AST. Please contact Kathy Stay to schedule a pickup time.
If you live more than two hours away, books can be placed in the mail. Please keep in mind that due to shorter two-week classes combined with current mail volumes within Canada Post we cannot guarantee that the books will get to you in a timely manner. We encourage you to look at our online resources. To make a mailing request please contact Brad Murray.
