AST Announces Appointment of Interim University Musician 2006 - 2007

Halifax, NS - President Eric Beresford is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Allen Wayte
as University Musician, and as sessional faculty in Speech and Music Arts in Worship for the academic year 2006-2007. Mr. Wayte brings enormous experience as an organist and choir director. He has served in a variety of Denominations and is currently organist and music director at First Baptist Church in Halifax where he is well known for his work with community choirs. 

Allen has recorded for both Vision and CBC Television and CBC Radio 2. Mr. Wayte conducts two community based choirs, the Chebucto Singers and the Seton Cantata Choir.
