An Oasis for Preachers
Please Note: Limited Space Available
Registration Open until December 31
A unique opportunity for thirsty pastor-preachers to find refreshment and shelter in a community of fellow travellers meeting online with a member of faculty. An invitation to continuing exploration of homiletic theory and practice in an environment of mutual support and encouragement.
- You will covenant to set aside a minimum of one hour each week to read, listen to, or view resources posted online by the faculty host. You will post an initial response for companions on the journey and the host to read. You will be welcome to engage in further online discussion as your busy schedule allows.
- Resources for discussion will include sermons by excellent and challenging preachers and articles that reflect current homiletical scholarship.
- Three times during the visit to the oasis you will have opportunity to converse live online with the host and your fellow travellers about posted resources and your own work.
- The last two weeks of the visit to the oasis will be devoted to the challenges of preaching the Good Friday/Easter message today. You will be welcome to share some of your own work for group reflection and response.
