Book Talk with Author Carolyn Nicholson

William Forsyth: Land of Hopes and Dreams

Join author Carolyn Nicholson as she unfolds the story of William Forsyth. At the turn of the eighteenth century, Forsyth, a newly graduated Church of Scotland minister, accepted a call from Cornwallis Township, Kings County, Nova Scotia. Hoping it would be his land of hopes and dreams, he is forced to adapt to unexpected adversity or return to Scotland. This book shares the stories of Forsyth and his Presbyterian people, as well as many of the New England Planter (Congregationalist) families who came to Nova Scotia around the same time.
