About the Speaker

Gillian Doucet Campbell, MA, CFRE (she/her) is the Engagement Leader with the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax, and a Stewardship and Development Consultant.

There is a culture shift happening in the Church. Many churches are struggling to see their relevance and purpose, let alone articulate these. Churches want to reach out to the community in mission but wonder who they are and what they have to offer. This shift has affected church attendance as well as the way church goers invest their time, talent, and treasure in their church. If we do not know who we are or why we matter, it is difficult to invest ourselves in the church or to communicate our mission to others.

As Diana Butler Bass recently wrote, “When a major religious shift is underway, there’s nothing more important than to tell your story." Together let's explore why Butler Bass is right and how to discern your church's story. Learn why your mission, vision, and values are important to your church community and how to communicate these well.

This workshop is geared towards clergy or lay leaders who wish to help their churches articulate their mission, vision, and values and to share that with others.

This event will take place online-only, via Zoom.
