AST Welcomes New Formation Directors

AUGUST 23, 2018

As the Fall 2018 academic term gets underway, AST is pleased to welcome some new people to our team. Each of them represents their respective faith traditions, working with students to help prepare them for the distinctive ministries they will exercise within that tradition.

Dr. Ross Bartlett is the new United Church Formation Director (term appointment from August 2018 to May 2019). A United Church minister as well as an Adjunct Faculty member at AST for many years, Ross most recently served Knox United Church in Sackville, NS.

Ed Colquhoun is the first Formation Director appointed to AST by the Canadian Association of Baptist Freedoms. Ed has served in a variety of ministries, including chaplaincy and as a school principal.

Canon Paul Jennings is the new Anglican Formation Director. Formerly the Director of Pastoral Studies at Diocesan Theological College in Montreal, Paul continues to serve as rector of the parish of Wilmot, NS.

AST is delighted, of course, to share in service with Ms. Aurea Sadi, who continues as the Roman Catholic Formation Director. Aurea, an alumna of AST, also works in Communications and Adult Faith Formation in the Office of Pastoral Life and New Evangelization of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.

AST deeply values our close connection with our church partners, and is grateful for the richness of gifts and graces these Formation Directors bring to our ecumenical team.
