AST is excited to welcome students, faculty and staff back to campus for Fall term. We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our community, and requires that all students, faculty, and staff coming to the campus to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible and by October 13. Students, faculty, and staff who are not fully vaccinated will have to undergo COVID-19 testing twice a week.

And we strongly encourage and continue to expect students, staff and faculty to follow all precautions:

  • Maintain social distancing of two meters
  • Wear a non-medical mask when you are not able to socially distance
  • Wash and sanitize your hands
  • Stay home if you are unwell or exhibit symptoms of illness, including Covid-19
  • Become fully vaccinated, if possible, at your earliest opportunity
  • Get tested regularly

Neale Bennet has announced his decision to retire from the position of president of Atlantic School of Theology, as of February 2022. “Serving as AST’s president has been the pinnacle and great blessing of my ministry of leadership,” he said.

Chair of the Board of Governors Michael Foster said: “Rev. Canon Bennet has led many significant and strategic initiatives to advance AST’s mission of shaping faithful and effective leaders. Among these are accomplishments in the areas of fund development and revenue generation, campus improvements, enhancement of AST’s digital capabilities, new and enhanced academic programming, and student engagement and enrollment. He has led the university with wisdom, vision, compassion and skill, and we are grateful.”
