Campus Wellness

At Atlantic School of Theology, we recognize that the journey of theological education is most fruitful when supported by a foundation of health and wholeness. Our Campus Wellness hub serves as a central point of care—connecting you with professional mental health resources, student-led wellness initiatives rooted in spiritual grace, and current health protocols to keep our community safe.

HealthyMinds N.S. was created to make sure students have access to mental health supports whenever they need them. Their website offers multiple mental health supports and services that are available. These are free to post-secondary students in Nova Scotia.

Andrea Ngui, DNE, is our Student Wellness Champion.

Profile photoAndrea is passionate about supporting student wellbeing and bringing creative ideas to campus wellness initiatives. Be sure to say hello and get involved in the events and activities she will be leading at campus. Check your inboxes for details on upcoming events.

“As Student Wellness Champion, I understand wellness not merely as managing stress, but as living into God’s shalom,” says Andrea. “In the context of theological study, wellness means being anchored in Christ – drawing strength from prayer, Scripture and community – so that rigorous study is balanced with joy, rest and compassion. I often encourage fellow students to embrace rhythms of grace, finding balance in practices like Sabbath, prayer and fellowship that sustain both scholarship and the soul.”

Updated May 2025

AST continues to follow the latest guidance from public health officials. Given that flu, COVID-19, colds and other illnesses are prevalent during the fall and winter, we encourage everyone to continue to take steps to minimize the spread.

Please stay home to recover if you are ill or test positive for COVID-19. It is important to remember that others within our community may have a higher risk of severe disease. Refer to the Nova Scotia Health website for advice on staying healthy, avoiding infections and how to manage an illness.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.

Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to educate, learn and work in a healthy and safe environment.
