Ibukun Olomodosi is a passionate pianist and dedicated church musician. He is known for his engaging performances and his commitment to enriching worship through music.

With decades of experience, Ibukun has developed a reputation for captivating audiences with a diverse repertoire that spans traditional hymns, contemporary praise songs and classical organ works.

His musical style blends classical artistry with vibrant hymn-playing and improvisation, always with the goal of creating an atmosphere of worship and inspiration.

Ibukun began his musical journey at a young age, studying piano with the late Dr. Ayodele in Nigeria. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the University of Lagos and a master’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

In addition to his role at AST, Ibukun serves as music leader at St. Andrew’s United Church in Halifax. He has also held positions as organist at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church and Mount Olive Anglican Church in St. John’s, N.L., and has frequently appeared as a soloist and accompanist in concerts and community events across the province.

Beyond music, he enjoys playing soccer, which he values for its sense of teamwork and energy, qualities he also brings to his musical leadership in worship.

Through his work at AST, Ibukun provides musical leadership in chapel worship, supports the spiritual formation of students, and contributes to the school’s mission of faith, scholarship and service. He is delighted to share his passion and expertise with the AST community and to continue exploring the transformative role of music in worship and education.
